Some questions you may have before attending your Cook School @ Home class are listed below, but if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us. Here you will also find information on our Cancellation and Allergens Policies.

Cancellation Policy

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel or reschedule your Cook School @ Home Class, amendments to bookings can be made up to 5 days before the class.

If you cancel within 5 days of your class, no refunds will be given. You are welcome to offer your spot to a friend or family member instead.

If you do not attend the Zoom session for your class, no refund will be given and full payment would be required on rebooking.

NOTE:
As our Products contain fresh and perishable food, you are not entitled to the regular rights of consumers to ‘return goods within 14 days’ after you receive them.

There is an exemption pursuant to regulation 27(1)(c) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Deactivation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, that confirms that contracts for the supply of goods are exempt from the right to withdrawal if those goods are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

This does not affect your right to cancel your order in line with the details set out above.

Allergens Policy

While we do our best to reduce the risk of cross-contamination in The Cook School, we have a legal responsibility to inform you that all 14 major allergens are handled on site so we CANNOT guarantee that any of our dishes are ‘free from’ allergens and therefore cannot accept liability in this respect.

FAQ’S

How do I order?

Ordering is easy:

  1. Choose your class theme and date
  2. Select the number of boxes/guests
  3. Select the class time
  4. Navigate to the checkout to complete your order

Will I receive confirmation of my class by post?

No, your confirmation email when you book a class acts as your class booking confirmation.

What time does the class start and finish?
We run both afternoon and evening standard Cook School @ Home Classes.

Afternoon sessions start at 12:45pm and evening sessions start at 18:45pm. Our Premium Cook School @ Home Classes begin at the earlier time of 17:45pm.

We do, however, invite you to log in 15 minutes ahead of your class time to our
Virtual Bar where you can meet and enjoy conversation with the other class participants.

Do you have any vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options?

Vegetarian: Our Cook School @ Home classes can be adapted to suit a vegetarian diet, with the exception of the following:

  • Asian
  • Burns Night
  • Chinese (Chicken Satay, Salt & Chilli Chicken menu)
  • Entertaining with Ease
  • Scottish Street Food
  • Spanish
  • ALL Premium Classes

Gluten Free / Vegan: Currently, our menus are not created to be gluten-free/vegan.

Do you accommodate food allergies?

We are not able to accommodate individual food allergies. Guests with severe allergies are advised to review the menus and assess their own level of risk.

Are all of the ingredients required included in the box?

All ingredients will be supplied, with the exception of eggs. We suggest you unpack the ingredients when the box arrives and follow any storage instructions listed on the Welcome Letter. Please check if eggs will be required for your chosen class.

Can I swap or remove any of the dishes from a box?

Sorry, we’re unable to edit the contents of each box.

How many people is one box for?

Our Cook School @ Home boxes are all portioned for 2 guests. You can buy additional boxes, if required.

Am I able to order any of the boxes as a single portion?

Our Cook School @ Home boxes are available in multiples of 2 per box.

I want to order multiple boxes for different addresses, how can I do this?

If you are ordering boxes for more than one household, please select the number of people in EACH household as a separate box.

Ensure you enter the additional shipping address at checkout.

What is the deadline for booking classes?

Booking closes at Monday at 12pm for the current weeks classes.

Do you sell gift cards?

Can I join on my own?

Many of our customer’s join our Cook School @ Home classes alone. It is an
interactive, sociable event with everyone cooking together.

Can I ask questions during the class?

Once the class begins, Chef will mute all participants to ensure instructions can be easily followed. You can unmute yourself at any point to ask questions throughout.

DELIVERY
We work with a number of delivery partners, including Braehead Foods, FEDEX and APC.

Here are a few important things to remember when placing your order:

Delivery Dates:
Orders will be delivered ahead of your class. As all of our products contain
perishable food items, please ensure someone will be available to accept your order.

Delivery Times:
Couriers will provide updates via text/email on both the day before and day of your delivery. Deliveries will be made between 7:30am-9:00pm of the delivery date.

What will happen if no one is at my delivery address to accept the order?

If you are not available to accept your order, our couriers will try leaving your
box with a neighbour or in a designated safe place at your property. You can edit these preferences by following your tracking link.

How will I know if the courier has received my order?

As soon as your order has been fulfilled, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email from the courier. You will then be able to track your order through the tracking link in the email.

Where do you deliver to?

Currently we deliver to Mainland UK. At the moment we cannot deliver to any of the islands/isles outside the UK.
